Dubai developer Danube Properties has awarded a contract to UAE-based Naresco Contracting for the main construction of its upcoming residential projects, Glitz 1 and Glitz 2.

In terms of construction progress, shoring and excavation work is complete on the Glitz 1 and Glitz 2 developments, the developer said. Offering 300 apartments ranging from studios to 3-bedroom units, the $81.6 million (AED300m) Glitz by Danube project is being developed at Dubai Studio City.

“At present, work on both sites is four months ahead of the planned schedule and a combined workforce of over 500 people is expected to execute the construction work during peak season,” Danube Properties said in a statement.

According to the real estate developer’s website, handover from the enabling contractor to Naresco is complete.

Shoring and excavation work is also expected to begin on the Glitz 3 development later this month, the developer said. Atlas Foundation Co. has secured the earthworks contract for the project and is currently undertaking mobilisation work on-site.

“We are delighted to report that all our sites are progressing brilliantly, in line with our commitment to deliver quality construction on time. We will continue to appoint top rated and reputable construction partners known for timely deliver and quality finish,” said Rizwan Sajan, founder and chairman of Danube Group.
