Powered access major JLG has announced the addition of two new crawler models to its 600 series of telescopic boom lifts.

The American manufacturer said the crawler versions – the 600SC and the 660SJC – will join the wheeled 600S and 660SJ lifts launched at Conexpo 2017, bringing the series to four models.

Jan-Willem van Wier, JLG’s senior product marketing manager for the EMEA region, said: “The series offers class-leading platform capacity, allowing operators to bring more tools and material to the work area.”

The 600SC offers an unrestricted capacity of 270kg, a 20% increase over the previous version, and a restricted capacity of 455kgs, Van Wier added. In the 660SJC, the restricted capacity stands at 250kg while the unrestricted capacity has increased by 50% to 340kg.

The new machines also have faster lift speeds along with the ability to operate multiple functions together. They are also easier to transport, with telescopic booms that are lighter in weight for multiple transport configurations.

The JLG SkyGuard enhanced control panel protection system is included as standard equipment in the four models of the 600 series. The SkyGuard sensor stops all functions and temporarily reversed the unit when activated by approximately 23kg of force.

The replacement intervals for sheave and wire rope have also been extended from eight to 12 years and a wide range of accessories and attachments are available, such as the optional JLG SkyPower system which not only improves fuel economy and saves time but also provided power for hand tools and accessories.
