GCC infrastructure will be at the forefront of the new Critical Infrastructure Summit (CIS), the Big Project Middle East (BPME) editorial team has announced. Scheduled to take place on 15 November 2023 in Dubai, the day-long event will convene seasoned experts to discuss a variety of topics and issues associated with airports, seaports and land infrastructure in the region.

The event will focus on several key themes, including: the challenges of aging critical infrastructure in the region and how they can be improved; what new infrastructure is needed to sustain economic diversification and growth across the GCC; the role of technology in designing and operating critical infrastructure efficiently and in line with sustainability agendas and legislation, and steps owners and operators can take to secure digital systems from a devastating new breed of cyberattacks.

Delegates will be able to hear from regional experts comprising speakers from: government, infrastructure operators, construction and infrastructure specialists, technology firms, suppliers and other key stakeholders. Registration is complementary but mandatory, click here to register.

“Regional governments have made no secret of their plans to further develop and diversify their economies over the last several years, and critical infrastructure sits at the centre of those plans and aspirations. The GCC is already home to significant infrastructure, and has a substantial pipeline of new builds planned, which is why the BPME editorial team decided the time was right to launch a summit that will take a deep dive into the challenges and opportunities associated with infrastructure,” said Jason Saundalkar, Head of Content at Big Project Middle East.

The event will comprise a mix of panel discussions and high-level presentations, and is being supported by:
