Raimondi’s official distributor Akem Group placed an order for two new MRT159 flat-top tower cranes, marking a partnership with the manufacturer that has spanned over two decades in Turkey, Iran and Northern Iraq.

The deal was signed between Gokhan Ibrahimiye, Director General, Akem Group, and Cristian Badin, Commercial Director at Raimondi Cranes.

Commenting on the deal, Ibrahimye said, “The tower crane market in Turkey is steadily recovering after the pandemic with the increase in demand for high performing machines, particularly for use in the construction of infrastructure and residential developments. Our fleet is comprised of more than 100 Raimondi cranes, all at work across different sites in Turkey, Iraq, and Georgia.”

In late October 2022, Raimondi Cranes unveiled its new brand and company vision and, later in the month, Wolffkran introduced high-performance fiber rope for tower cranes.

“Raimondi Cranes is pleased to continue our long-term partnership with Akem Group and seeing see our cranes at work in some of the most important jobsites of the region,” added Badin.

The cranes are expected to be delivered in time to support the construction of a new residential development in Turkey with the beginning of the project scheduled for Q1, 2023.

To date, much of the success of the MRT159 has been attributed to its 10t maximum lifting capacity, a tip load of 3.24t at 50m jib, and its ease of installation.

In early November 2022, Raimondi Cranes unveiled new additions to flattop range.
