EDAMAH has said that ground has been broken on the new Sitra Logistics Park, which is billed as a world-class warehousing facility that will serve Bahrain’s logistics industry. The 87,382sqm park will include a number of facilities for industrial, commercial and logistical use, which can then be tailored according to tenant requirements.

Amongst the park’s biggest clients will be Trident Warehousing, which has signed a 10-year lease agreement, valued at US $7mn, for an 8,137sqm facility. EDAMAH will work with Trident and its business associate, Hoover Circular Solutions, a provider of sustainable packaging and fleet management solutions out of Texas, USA, to create a facility that meets technical and operational requirements, the statement from EDAMAH explained.

“We are excited to officially begin work on a project that is of national strategic importance and aligned with our goal to ‘build for Bahrain’ through the careful selection of projects that contribute to the economy and respond to market needs. The park will support the Kingdom’s growing logistics industry, as well as attract foreign investment and create jobs,” stated EDAMAH CEO Amin Al Arrayed.

In July 2022, EDAMAH invites bids for a 20,717sqm mixed-use investment project in Bahrain while, in July 2022, the evaluation of prequalification bids for the $2bn Bahrain Metro project were announced as being underway.

“With excellent road, air, and sea connectivity to the rest of GCC, along with dedicated facilities such as this Park, Bahrain is rapidly evolving into a highly integrated logistics hub. Sitra Logistics Park has been designed as a one-stop shop for all logistical needs, with office spaces, warehouses, and distribution centre to enhance production capacities,” he added.

EDAMAH’s portfolio spans retail, hospitality, commercial and industrial properties across Bahrain. The developer aims to drive sustainable economic growth while also creating benefits for local communities.

In September 2022, CBRE said it had been appointed to manage and lease Bahrain’s Once Mall and, in October 2022, the Bahrain Contractors Society welcomed the cancellation of the Flexi Permit system.
