Two Nepali nationals have been killed in a work site accident during the construction of the Kuwait International Airport Terminal 2, it has been revealed.
According to al Kuwait News Agency report, citing fire department sources, the two workers died after being buried under sand while working at the construction site for the new terminal building. A third worker was also trapped under the rubble of the site accident, but was pulled out safely by the Kuwait Fire Department, after a marathon rescue operation that lasted nearly four hours.
The report added that Dr Rana Al Faris, the Public Works Minister, has announced the formation of a committee, comprising representatives from Kuwait University and Municipality, to conduct a probe into the incident.
