According to a report from Kuwait News Agency, the Public Works Ministry will work alongside Kuwait’s Ministry of Health to build these homes, under a contract basis. It stated that Ministry of Public Works’ Abdullah Al-Ajmi, said the decision was taken during a meeting with representatives from the health ministry.

Al-Ajmi further stated that the ministry will also conduct field inspections to ensure that the temporary homes are up to proper living standards.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad affirmed to everyone the necessity of staying home and avoiding unnecessary contact with other persons.

He stated that the number of infections recorded in the country is currently at 189, while 30 cases have recovered. He also pointed out that while China has not reported any new cases related to the national pandemic, and these are positive indications, ‘we must still take all preventive measures and precautionary steps.’
