AECOM names Raj Hanspaul as director of PMCM for the UAE and Oman

Raj Hanspaul will lead a staff of 160 in his new role as director of Program Management and Construction Management (PMCM) in the UAE and Oman at AECOM. He is now responsible for activities ranging from planning, coordination, scheduling and cost control, to design, construction and commissioning.

Hanspaul was previously project director for a major community infrastructure programs in the UAE including Cranleigh School, The Galleria mall extension and most recently Yas Acres, a project for which he will retain oversight, AECOM said in a statement.

“Raj’s regional experience and knowledge of large program delivery will be a real asset for our PMCM business in the UAE and Oman. I look forward to seeing the positive impact his experience and leadership has on our PMCM team, inspiring our people to reach their full potential and driving growth for our organisation,” said Jason Kroll, chief operating officer and director of PMCM & PMO, at AECOM Middle East.

He is said to have an in-depth understanding of the drivers and challenges that arise when delivering major developments including facilities for education, residential, healthcare, national governments, leisure and public gathering venues.

Hanspaul added, “Having lived the in UAE for seven years, this appointment, which coincides with the UAE developing infrastructure to support the next 50 years of growth, comes at a very exciting time. I look forward to working with the PMCM team and collaborating with key clients across the UAE and Oman to contribute to the legacies of the two countries.”
