The Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) and the Al Dhafra Region Municipality have kicked off an infrastructure upgrade project in the Dhafra region. The $39.4 million project is located at Madinat Zayed, Baynunah, Sector 18 and Zone MZW.

The project’s scope includes the construction of main and secondary internal roads, along with infrastructure such as a potable water system, sanitation, stormwater drains and internal road lighting networks, fire breeching inlets, power cables, telecommunication ducts, pedestrian sidewalks and parking bays.

The project is expected to enhance infrastructure across Madinat Zayed, Baynunah, Sector 18 and Zone MZW in the Al Dhafra region. It will establish a perfect platform to help stimulate population and economic growth, provide service amenities to meet the needs of residents, service residential plots at the area and support the trade and tourism movement besides attracting investments into the region, said a statement.

Musanada and the Al Dhafra Region Municipality said that the project will serve 294 residential, governmental and utility plots, four mosques, four parks and four landscaping spaces, and includes the preparation of infrastructure, the road network and utility passageways.

The project is said to align with the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide high-quality infrastructure that is aligned with the highest international standards, with the aim of meeting the needs of individuals and the community at large.

The Al Dhafra Region Municipality notes that the project keeps pace with the comprehensive and sustainable development process witnessed by the emirate of Abu Dhabi in general and the Al Dhafra region in particular.
