Middle East heavy lifting specialist Al Faris has used a 500t Liebherr all-terrain mobile crane to assemble and erect windmills in a Jordanian project.

The Dubai-based company said in a statement that it mobilised a Liebherr LTM 1500 for the Jordan wind farm project which it was awarded recently.

“After careful consideration and calculations the Liebherr LTM 1500, 500t all-terrain crane was selected as the most suitable to safely carry out the heavy lifts. The crane was mobilised to Jordan from our branch in Saudi Arabia along three of our well-trained staff members, showcasing our capabilities and strength to cater to any projects in the entire Middle East region,” said Al Faris.

The company added that all surveys, planning, technical support documentation, execution plans and schedules were prepared in-house prior to job execution, which helped in organizing all activities smoothly and kept delays to a minimum.

“Execution was safely carried out by our trained operators. The loads varied from 64t to 90t. Our 550t mobile crane was used with main boom operations,” said the statement, adding that a strong commitment and focus was also shown to adhere to the best HSE practices on-site, which was discussed in detail with the client prior to the commencement of operations.
