Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada, has announced the handover of two internal roads and infrastructure projects covering approximately three million square metres at Al Rahba City in Abu Dhabi, at a total cost of $123.3 million.

According to a statement released by Musanada, the execution of these projects was carried out in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Municipality. It added that the projects form part of its efforts to realise on the ground the vision of the UAE’s leadership.

The two projects are also part of the strategic plan of the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities, aimed at enhancing the infrastructure of Abu Dhabi City and its suburban areas, with a particular focus on cities that are experiencing rising growth rates.

Work on the projects included the construction of the internal road network, including landfill and levelling, along with the relocation of some infrastructure services, such as powerlines, small power substations and sanitation and potable water networks, in addition to the main sewerage station.

Musanada said that all the works for the first project were completed over 1.248 million square metres, at a total cost of $43.6 million. The second project was delivered at a cost in excess of $79.7 million and spans an area of 1.62 million sqm.

In line with the current trend, Musanada assured its commitment towards observing rationalised energy consumption and reducing operating costs, along with its firm commitment to eco-sustainability requirements and conservation of resources during delivery of the two projects according to highest international standards.
