Nakheel has appointed Wade Adams Contracting to build access routes to its Al Khail Avenue mall project. The roads project is being funded by Nakheel in full, with the RTA providing oversight on construction works.

As per the terms of the contract, construction work will begin immediately and is scheduled for completion in 2020. The access routes will take motorists from Al Khail Road into Al Khail Avenue’s 4,000-space multi-storey car park. There will also be access points to the mall from within JVT, the statement from Nakheel said.

Al Khail Avenue is scheduled to open in 2020 and aims to serve residents living and working in JVT and the surrounding areas, including Nakheel’s Jumeirah Village Circle, Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Park and Al Furjan residential communities, and commercial hubs such as Jafza and Dubai World Central.

The mall will be operated by Nakheel Malls, the retail arm of Nakheel, and will have 350 shops, restaurants, entertainment outlets and services. It will be connected to a 267-room hotel which will be operated under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand.
