Oilfield services provider Petrofac has been awarded a contract to provide additional services on a gas wells project in Bahrain by Tatweer Petroleum. As per the terms of the deal, Petrofac will execute on a lump-sum turnkey basis the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of additional gas wells.

Petrofac will also connect the gas wells to a gas dehydration facility that its Engineering & Production Services arm recently installed for Tatweer. The new dehydration facility is said to have a capacity of 500 million standard cubic feet per day.

“We are delighted to have secured this additional scope of work with Tatweer Petroleum, having already delivered the existing facility. The project is integral to the Kingdom’s future energy strategy to increase the production of natural gas. We look forward to our continued partnering with this important client and the safe and efficient delivery of these further wells,” said Mani Rajapathy, MD, Eastern Hemisphere, Engineering & Production Services, Petrofac.
