Dubai-based Majed Hilal Contracting will start work on Azizi Riviera later this month after it was award a $155.7mn contract to work on the fourth phase of the flagship Azizi Developments project.

Majed Hilal has been instructed to oversee construction of  over 50% of Azizi Riviera’s phase 4 works including 11 canal-side units.

Once completed Azizi Riviera Phase 4 will comprise 4,753 units with 3,141 studios, 1,261 one-bedroom, 267 two-bedroom and 84 three-bedroom apartments.

“As a construction-driven developer, we continue to progress quickly with Azizi Riviera, one of our most ambitious projects to date,” said Mirwais Azizi, chairman, Azizi Group. “We recognise a growing interest in Dubai’s real estate market – and particularly in buying off-plan – and aim to match that with our hallmarks of timely delivery, superior quality, and value for money.”

The announcement follows last month’s news that Evershine will build ten phase 4 units. Construction work is expected to begin by the end of the month. Azizi Developments says that the architecture of its flagship project draws inspiration from the French Riviera lifestyle and will feature versatile, contemporary elements.

The project, which is located on the banks of the Dubai Canal, will be in close proximity to Meydan One Mall and the Meydan Racecourse. Azizi Riviera will also offer paved pedestrian paths, water transport and yachting facilities. A marina has also been proposed, all of which the developer says will contribute towards making the project an attractive proposition for buyers.
