SNC-Lavalin has received notice to proceed with the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) phase on the liquid ammonia plant it is working on in Salalah, Oman. This phase of the project follows the early works program, which it was awarded earlier in 2017.

The anhydrous liquid ammonia plant is being built for the Salalah Methanol Company LLC (SMC).

SNC-Lavalin’s Abu Dhabi office is responsible for the project delivery, and is being supported by local and international resources. The early works program began in the second quarter of this year.
