The 13th edition of the region’s biggest steelworking exhibition, SteelFab, will take place at Expo Centre Sharjah from January 16-19, bringing together a large gathering of steel industry professionals, the latest equipment and machines for steel fabrication along with a seminar programme.

A statement from the centre said that the exhibition, supported by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), will present modern technologies in steel forming, metal-cutting, finishing, milling, and heavy machinery, as well as other related engineering applications. A global turnout is expected, it added, with the participation of over 350 firms from all over the world and more than 1000 leading international brands in the field.

“We are honoured to organise this leading exhibition for the 13th time. SteelFab has grown to become a barometer in the steel fabrication industry and provides vital networking opportunities for senior CEOs, producers, experts, and businessmen in the heavy industries sectors under one roof,” said Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah.

SteelFab will be held amidst a positive business environment, he added, with projections indicating that the demand for steel will go up to 55 million tons during 2017, along with Arab investments of $100 billion in the sector.

The exhibition will have special focus areas for metal-cutting machine tools, welding and cutting, pipe and tube fabrication, and wear resistance. It will provide experts and businessmen with a platform to review recent developments in the steel fabrication field that help companies enhance their products for construction, mining, and other sectors, said the statement.

Open only to trade and professional visitors from 10am to 7pm daily, the event will have free admission.
