Two workers have been killed and three injured in an accident at the site of the nuclear energy plant under construction in Abu Dhabi, according to a report by The National.
The five men were working with a man basket held by a crane at the Barakah nuclear energy plant site in Al Gharbia, the newspaper reported.
The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) reportedly said that the May 12 accident did not happen in any nuclear-related building.
ENEC expressed its “sincere condolences to the families affected and our hearts and prayers continue to go out to them in relation to their loss”, The National reported.
Compensation has been paid to the families of the dead men, and those injured were treated in hospital, it was reported.
