Key contracts awarded for Bahrain Marina project

Real estate investment firm Amlak has announced the launch of phase two of the Bahrain Marina development and the award of key contracts for the project.

Amlak’s CEO Mohamed Abdulelah Al Kooheji said the phase will focus on the clearing of the existing site and finalising the detailed masterplan in order to move forward into the development phase, as well as a number of on-site studies.

The company announced the appointment of architecture firm Benoy as the lead designer, Bruce Shaw as the project manager, HAJ as the quantity surveyor, Hyder Consulting as traffic and road consultant and AECOM as marine consultant.

“The selection of the consultants reflects our commitment to excellence and is indicative of our careful approach to developments. We believe in providing international standards across all our projects. Amlak aims through this development to launch a national landmark that will support and drive the tourism industry and overall economy of the Kingdom,” said Al Kooheji.

The Bahrain Marina development on the Manama coastline is due for completion in 2020 will comprise of residential, entertainment, leisure and marina facilities.

It will include a five star luxury hotel, serviced apartments along with freehold apartments and waterfront villas, a shopping mall, a family entertainment and educational centre and a recreational waterfront space with dining and retail spaces.
