SSH, the master planning, infrastructure, building design and construction supervision company based out of Bahrain and operating throughout the region, has announced that it has been appointed as the lead consultant for a new five-star resort in Muscat, Oman.

In a statement, SSH said that it has been tasked with delivering full design and construction supervision services on the project. It added that the new property belongs to a ‘world-renowned hotel operating group’ and that it is the group’s first beach resort project in Muscat.

The luxury resort will consist of a 140-keys hotel, along with 30 villas, a beach restaurant and beach club. The five-star property will bring an ‘unprecedented level of entertainment, culinary delights, and energy to the city’, the statement continued.

“This project was the first to be awarded within the overall master plan development. The SSH team carefully considered all aspects and elements of design to ensure this flagship project met not only our client’s expectations but also that of the resort’s future guests,” said Omar Nuri – Resident Director at SSH, Oman. “It is important that we deliver an end product that echoes the same quality and standard of the other resorts under the same banner”.

He added that the development will have upscale, contemporary design features, including two hotel wings that have uninterrupted views of the marina and beach from all rooms. A central pool will cascade down through the entire resort and the surrounding landscape, connecting all key public spaces and villas to the hotel restaurants and facilities, beach and marina beyond.
