Texas-headquartered oilfield services provider National Energy Services Reunited (NESR) has announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Gradiant Energy Services (GES).
According to the terms listed in the MoU, NESR will deploy GES’ technologies and equipment in the MENA region, where NESR predominantly operates. Headquartered in Colorado, GES serves oil and gas operators looking for a safe, reliable and economic solution to reuse and recycle flowback and produced water.
Danny Jimenez, chairman and CEO of Gradiant Energy Services, said: “GES is regarded as the company of choice for unique and tough water challenges. Our track record across the space is the result of our deep expertise around water solution.”
“Middle East oil and gas operators have learned about the value we bring to clients in places like the Permian and over the last year or so, we have received direct inbound requests from relevant operators in that region to provide them with our technical solutions.”
Both companies are set to join efforts to bring GES’ water technical solution capabilities leveraging NESR’s strong operational footprint and resources in the Middle East and Asia.
Commenting on the partnership, Sherif Foda, CEO and chairman of the Board of NESR commented: “We believe that sustainable water strategies and preserving freshwater resources need to be front and centre in the execution of the extensive unconventional and conventional gas programmes in the region.”

Foda added that NESR has been looking very closely into this space for quite some time and after evaluating the wide spectrum of methodologies and technologies available, they decided to partner with GES because of their deep expertise in operation and research.
“GES will help NESR provide clients with specific and differentiated technical water treatment solutions so our clients can achieve their production goals in an environmentally responsible manner,” he concluded.
