Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), formerly called the Water Electricity Company (WEC), has invited expressions of interest (EOIs) from leading contractors to conduct site studies for potential independent water projects (IWPs), independent sewage treatment plants (ISTPs) and independent strategic water reservoir schemes.

According to the SWPC, the winning contractor will need to get all the necessary permits from local, regional and national regulatory authorities for conducting the investigation and surveys for the water project.

Scope of work will include the preparation of topographic studies besides conducting onshore and offshore geotechnical and bathymetric surveys and sea water analysis.

SWPC also stated that the move is in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which recognises the importance of ensuring reliable provisions for water and wastewater services. This ensures the future quality of life of the residents of the Kingdom, the utility provided added in the statement.

The last date for submitting EOIs is July 18th, SWPC said.
