The Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Asharqia Chamber) of Saudi Arabia has awarded the contract for the construction of a new commercial tower, Al Kharwa Investment Tower, to construction firm, Al Bawani Company (Al Bawani).

The $89 million-Al Kharwa Investment Tower project, according to Saudi-based firm Al Bawani, will be located in the Kingdom’s Eastern Province, next to the premises of the Chamber. The 31-storey tower is scheduled for completion in 26 months.

According to a statement from Al Bawani, the tower offers an innovative environment combined with a unique design that will suit the modern style of the business community and its services. It is also in line with the development of the business environment in the Eastern Region, which is characterised by privacy and an aesthetic appeal, the company added.

Abdulhakim bin Hamad Al Khalidi, chairman of Asharqia said: “The design of the project takes into account the various needs that are in proportion with the aspirations of the business sector and aims to facilitate their work, and improve performance.”

He also noted that the project will be seen as a distinctive addition to the development movement in the region and a vehicle to attract a variety of investments.

Al Khalidi concluded that, with this project, they have great faith and confidence in the future of Saudi’s national economy and the vital role played by the business sector in national development and in achieving the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
