HKA has appointed Jad Chouman and Haroon Niazi as joint heads of the MEA region. Chouman and Niazi replace David Merritt, who is leaving the position after more than 10 years in the business.

According to statement, Merritt will continue to work with HKA as an expert independent consultant.

Benjamin Highfield has also been given the role of acting head of the Asia region, in addition to serving as HKA’s Global Business Development executive.

“I would like to congratulate our next generation of leaders on their new roles. With over 220 locally based experts and staff, HKA is by far the largest and most prominent dispute resolution business in the region. As our business continues to grow and expand, I strongly believe our new leadership team is the right choice to lead our next phase of growth in the MEA region,” said Renny Borhan, HKA partner and CEO.

Borhan concluded, “I would like to thank David for his contributions to the business and we look forward to continuing to work with him in the future.”
