SNC-Lavalin announces new president of resources

SNC-Lavalin has appointed Craig Muir as its new president of Resources. In his new role, he will report to chief operating officer Ian Edwards and will be based in Dubai.

He is part of the executive committee and leads the company’s global resources sector which includes the oil and gas, mining and metallurgy markets.

According to a statement, Muir has over 30 years of experience in the offshore and onshore oil and gas industry. He is billed as a seasoned executive with expertise in managing large-revenue, high-growth engineering businesses, as well as extensive project experience at some of the world’s leading consultancies.

“As a global leader in oil and gas, and mining and metallurgy markets, SNC-Lavalin has built a proven track record of delivering a multitude of world-class projects and developing long-term relationships with top tier clients. I am very excited about the appointment of Muir who brings wealth of international experience to our resources sector. Located in the Middle East, which is a high growth region, I’m confident that he’ll continue to leverage our combined strengths and lead our business expansion globally,” said Edwards.
