Work on the 22-km long Seventh Ring Road in Kuwait is progressing at a steady pace, with 37% of the project already completed, the director general of the country’s Public Authority for Roads and Transport (PART) has said.

In a report by Kuwait Times, Engineer Ahmad Al Hosan, director general of PART, said that the key development is part of a country-wide road network development and upgradation project. It is being executed by PART, he added.

Once completed, the project will include seven intersections linking Fahaheel Road to the area near Kabd, besides a part of the regional road system that links Fahaheel Road, through Seventh Ring Road and all the way to Salmy Road, covering a total of 93km, Al Hosan added.

He also pointed out that the street will hold three lanes on each side. A fourth lane will likely be added in the future, as a waiting area for trucks an pedestrian bridges.
