Canadian project management consultancy MHPM_Driver has appointed experienced UAE-based executive Angela Manthorpe as its new business development manager.

A resident in the UAE for 20 years, Manthorpe has previously served in a business development for a leading design consultant for a decade where she has developed an extensive network of contacts across the real estate and construction industries, said MHPM_Driver. The company added that she will be responsible for promoting its project management services throughout the GCC,” and nurturing relationships with owners and consultants to expand MHPM_Driver’s service offerings to help clients achieve their objectives.”

“We are very pleased that Angela has joined our team. With her extensive experience in the region, her partnering approach to creating opportunities, and her focus on adding value to our clients, I know that she will be a great addition to the organisation,” said Yamin Shihab, VP, MHPM_Driver in the GCC.

MHPM has secured several significant projects in the hospitality, retail and entertainment sectors since its entry into the market in 2014. It is currently leading new developments such as the Mandarin Oriental and Hyatt Andaz on La Mer for wasl Asset Management Group, and a major refurbishment programme for Jumeirah Group’s Madinat Jumeirah resort.

“I am very excited to be joining MHPM_Driver at this pivotal time in their development in the region,” commented Manthorpe on her new role. “They are super-focused on understanding customers’ needs and delivering a service that minimizes client risks.  I look forward to developing our solid portfolio of hospitality projects and expanding further in the commercial office and education sectors throughout the Middle East.”
