EFECO secures $68mn MEP contract for Dubai Opera District project

EFECO (Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co.) has won an MEP works contract with TAV Tepe Akfen Construction worth $68 million for two towers in Emaar Properties’ Opera District in Downtown Dubai.

According to the wholly-owned Arabtec subsidiary, the project consists of MEP works for towers A2 and A3 which share a common basement in Plot A of the Opera District in Downtown Dubai. The total number of apartments is 809 over a built-up area of 214,676sqm. The project works will commence in January 2018 for a duration of 34 months.

“We are pleased that EFECO has been awarded the Opera District project,” said Arabtec’s group CEO Hamish Tyrwhitt. “We look forward to working on another project for Emaar Properties as we continue to build on our solid relationships in our core markets”
