A residential project spanning 763 hectares will be built for UAE citizens in Umm Nahd-3 on the Dubai-Al Ain road, according to a statement carried by state news agency WAM.

The Dubai Municipality has completed all necessary procedures to plan the development, it was reported.

Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said that while planning the new residential area, aspects of urban sustainability and the creation of healthy environments were taken into consideration.

The development will feature tracks for bicycles and pedestrians, in addition to sporting fields.

Lootah added that the municipality will soon distribute the housing to citizens, who have been approved by the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.

Dawoud Al Hajiri, Assistant Director-General of the Municipality for Planning and Engineering Sector, said that a single plot is about 1,100 sq.m., and the housing units will be Ground+2.
