Mohammed Atatreh has been appointed a board member of Dubai-based contractor Drake & Scull, according to a company statement. Atatreh replaces Khalaf Sultan Al Daheri who recently resigned from his position on the company’s board.

Atatreh is an entrepreneur and brings valuable business acumen to the board, according to the statement. He has held similar positions in several other organisations including Tabarak Commercial Investment. In this role, Atatreh is said to have played a strategic part in the management of the company’s real estate development and construction portfolio. Atatreh is also on the board of trustees at Al Falah University.

In February of this year, Drake & Scull announced its intent to exit underperforming market sectors, and refocus on its regional strategy and capabilities in MEP.
