Following the recent official launch of Tesla in the UAE, the Mall of the Emirates has installed nine Tesla Destination Charging connectors to keep the first adopters of the electric vehicles fully powered up according to a press release from Majid Al Futtaim, the mall owners.

Located at the Fashion Dome Valet Parking and on the first and second floors at Mall of the Emirates, the Tesla charging stations offer the facility to visiting Tesla drivers. One hour of charging can add up to 100 km of range to the battery.

“Majid Al Futtaim is proud to offer the first generation of Tesla drivers Dubai’s largest cluster of charging stations at its central and conveniently located flagship mall: Mall of the Emirates.” said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, managing director East Region – Property Management, Shopping Malls for Majid Al Futtaim.

As part of Majid Al Futtaim’s green building and energy management policies, the retail pioneer is committed to implementing sustainable improvements within the planning stages of all design infrastructures. The Mall has also partnered with Dubai Carbon and Global Alliance for Building and Construction, in line with innovative global trends in sustainable advances.
