Qatar’s Al Sawari Holdings, a multi-products conglomerate, has awarded the $150-million Al Seeliya Tower project to Gettco Construction, its construction subsidiary.

The announcement was made by the chairman Sheikh Turki bin Faisal al Thani, reports the Gulf Tribune newspaper from Doha citing a company statement.

The Al Seeliya Tower project, in the heart of the Doha’s fast-developing West Bay commercial district, will consist of a residential hotel and a serviced apartment tower. Built for Al Sawari Hotels and Resorts, this 33-storey, 40000-square-metre tower will house 180 luxury apartment rooms and has its completion date set for the end of this year.

“We are pleased to sign this agreement with Gettco Construction, which I am confident will deliver this project to meet the highest standards of quality on the agreed delivery date,” said Sheikh Turki.

“Our proven track record and involvement in the successful completion of several prestigious projects were the essential factors that got us this contract,” commented Hesham Ibrahim, acting general manager of Gettco Construction.
