The Kuwait-based design consultancy SSH says it will look to bid for work on stadiums planned for the Qatar World Cup 2022.

Bob Hope, chief executive at SSH, said the company was looking at the possibility of bidding for stadiums through a design and build capacity with a contractor.

“We and about half a dozen of the major contractors that we most respect, have an agreement to be their go-to-guys for design and build projects. So we’re actually looking at the possibility of bidding [for] some of the stadiums in a design and build capacity with the contractor,” Hope told Middle East Consultant.

“With Expo 2020 and Qatar WC in 2022, there will be a lot more design and build opportunities so we’re shaping ourselves to work with the guys who we think are the right quality of contractor who respect us and vice-versa.”

Hope added that in terms of their outlook on 2016, he believes that the company will have a steady year. The company is investing in new markets like Saudi Arabia.
