Global FM, the global facilities management association, has appointed Ali AlSuwaidi, vice president of the Middle East Facility Management Association (MEFMA), as its vice chairman for the year 2021.

A statement from MEFMA said the success of its vice president “proves the association’s imperative role in developing the regional and international facility management (FM) industry”.

MEFMA added that AlSuwaidi is among the founders of the FM industry in the Middle East and has been instrumental in developing the industry at all levels from his voluntary role as MEFMA vice president and a former board director at Global FM. AlSuwaidi has also held several regional and international workshops and webinars, presenting the industry’s latest and best practices. Moreover, he has chaired several initiatives aiming to leverage the FM human resources competencies.

“It is overwhelming to be appointed as the vice chairman of Global FM, and I look forward to investing more in the Middle Eastern FM industry. This appointment affirms MEFMA’s important role in supporting this vital sector. Since its inception, MEFMA’s membership at the Global FM has been of great importance, as the association has been providing support and building bridges with the globe’s FM associations over the past 11 years,” AlSuwaidi said.
